About Your Pension

Welcome to the Internet Web Site of the Pompano Beach Police & Firefighters' Retirement System. This office manages pension funds for members pursuant to the City of Pompano Beach, Florida Charter.

Our pension plan has been in existence since 1972.

Members are welcome and encouraged to visit our site often. You can download forms for change of address or change of beneficiary in addition to keeping up-to-date with the financial status of the retirement fund.

Check back often as we will be updating the information on a regular basis.

What's New - Broward College Scholarship

The Board of Trustees for the Pompano Beach Police and Firefighters Pension Plan is proud to announce an annual scholarship provided by Sugarman & Susskind, P.A. This scholarship is based on financial need for full-time, part-time degree seeking students, students enrolled in police officer, firefighter, or paramedic certification programs. Eligibility Criteria : the child, grandchild, or direct descendant (great-grandchild, great-great grandchild, etc) of either a firefighter or police officer who is receiving or will be eligible to receive a pension from the Pompano Beach Police and Firefighters Retirement System.

Scholarship applications can be obtained at Broward College Financial Aid Office.

NOTE: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by this Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
